A 28-year-old woman may have kept the body of her roommate in their apartment for up to three weeks.

Ya know, after reading some of the posts about roommates over in Rantidote, this doesn't sound too bad. Sure, the roommate probably didn't pay any bills on time, but she kept quiet, didn't lock the roommate out, and didn't have sex with her boyfriend in the middle of the living room (hopefully).
Heck, a dead roommate is starting to sound pretty good. |

So far, I am leaning towards the dead one.

To be fair, it says the dead woman was under a pile of clothing on the floor, so I don't think she was picking up after herself either.

You know that if you wrap them up in plastic, they don't stink so much.
Not that I would know... |

Not even a few days.. a dead body can attract flies within minutes.

A desire for drugs was so strong a 28-year-old Canton Township woman spent three weeks scamming nearly $2,000 from the father of her dead roommate while the body rotted in their apartment under a heap of clothes.

This is reminding me of that demented short story someone posted here a while back. Something about a woman in the south (I think during or after the Civl War) who doesn't leave her house and there's a stench from her house her neighbors try to rectify without her knowing. "Rose" something...

What kind of Snopester am I, not knowing it's a Faulkner story! (Oh yeah, the kind that's only read that one short story by Faulkner. I think I should pencil the title down somewhere...)
