We have a knitting and crochet thread, why not a sewing and quilting one (since I know there are multiple people on here that do that, as well).
I've been toying with the idea of making the Infinity Dress from Rostitchery, but I'm not sure I like the idea of a circle skirt. I'd like to do an A-line skirt, I think, and I think I'd also want to have some kind of waist band that can go over my bust if I wanted to make the dress a little shorter. Does anyone have ideas how I can do both? If I have the band, do I need to have the fabric at a certain angle (like the stretchiness going horizontally or vertically)? Of course, I can't do any of this until I get a sewing machine, so maybe my mother can bring my Singer Featherweight and some tools down with her when my parents come to help out with SO's and my move.
