Comment: Hey, I've heard a couple of rumors concerning Walt Disney and
Disney World. I've heard that if you take the map of Disney World and lay it over the parts of Europe that Hitler ruled over during WWII, they match up. Also, the statue of Walt Disney holding hands with Mickey Mouse in the theme park is in the same place as the statue of Hitler. I'm not sure how true any of this is, but any information given would be very much appreciated. |

What map of Disney World, for that matter?

How would they "match up" anyway? Are they the same shape?

And of course, the Walt Disney w/ Mickey statue is in the same relative position as the really gigantic statue of Hitler that stood in that harbor in Greece. Colossus of Rhodes, what? eta: I'm assuming the OP is referring to the locations of the different "countries" at Epcot, rather than the different theme parks like MGM Studios, Magic Kingdom, etc. eta again: looking at a map of Epcot, I don't know what the heck they mean. Pretty sure neither Mexico nor the US were occupied, nor do I think the world is arranged quite like that ![]() If anyone wants to compare to see what the conspiracy theorist probably didn't bother checking: Walt Disney World German Occupied Europe Last edited by mags; 09 April 2009 at 07:46 PM. |

Disneyworld does look a bit France-shaped I suppose. Where abouts is the statue of Walt/Mickey, near the entrance and castle? That kind of corresponds with where Paris would be, and where a statue of Hitler might have been situated had he won the war...

But that is a map of just Epcot, not Disney World in it's entirety. And the statue of Walt is in a completely different park, so overlaying Epcot over Europe doesn't address the OP.
Now that I'm looking at the actual map of Disney World, I guess someone with a very active imagination could see approximations with the Magic Kingdom being Great Britain, the Animal Kingdom as Spain, Epcot Center over France and Downtown Disney as, I don't know, Poland? Of course that doesn't jibe with Germany's occupied areas. Last edited by HelloLlama; 11 April 2009 at 05:43 PM. |
