Email carjacking hoax

A police staff officer in New Zealand has vectored the 'Flyer On The Rear Windshield hijacking rumor with predictable consequences.

A police employee has unwittingly passed on an email hoax about carjackings, lending credibility to it.

The email gained the police staff member's details and police logo as it was passed on, police spokesman Rob Lee said.
