In the opening montage of Watchmen, we see a bunch of re-created scenes from history, as set in that film's alternate universe. One of them involves the first moon landing. I won't say exactly what the major alteration was, but as it starts to dissolve into the next scene, you can hear an astronaut's voice saying "Good luck, Mr. Gorsky...."
I imagine there are some people in the theater who had no idea why I was laughing so loud.

I must admit I winced when I saw it, but then realized that I was probably the only person in the theater that knew what the reference was.
Alternate history indeed!

I laughed out loud at that seen both times I saw it in the theater. I guess since it's in a parallel universe of somesort, Armstrong may have actually uttered the phrase there.

I noticed it too! I saw it with friends and I don't think any of them knew why I snerked.

That one didn't bother me. The inclusion of the UL mischaracterization of the "Twinkie Defense" in the postscript to Milk did, though. The movie itself had made starkly clear the premeditated and brutal nature of the murders, and thus the absurdity and injustice of White's sentence. Throwing in that inaccuracy at the end weakened the point.
