Default Woman howls like wolf

A Chinese woman has been howling like a wolf for 26 years - but can't help it and says the howls are like sneezes or yawns and can't be controlled.

It started when she began to suffer from back pains aged 16: "Then I accidentally found when I howl the pain goes away."

At first she would howl only once every two or three months but now cannot stop herself from howling four or five times a day. She howls for more than 20 minutes at a time with each one lasting up to 20 seconds.

At first I thought "tourettes", but now I'm wondering if the howls release endorphins?

The position she takes makes me think it is more the way she stretches that is helping than the howling itself.

And she says her howls are getting louder and longer. Now she howls for more than 20 minutes at a time with each one lasting up to 20 seconds.

Hong has sought help from a hospital in Fuzhou city. However, except for a protruding spinal disc, she has been given a clean bill of health.
I think it's pretty clear the back problem is getting worse. I can't believe that an issue that started with back pain isn't directly connected to that protruding spinal disc. Since the howling has gotten to be more and more, don't they think maybe they should fix the disc?

I'm not sure health care in some parts of China is that good. Obviously it depends on where she is in relation to major hospitals (and how stretched the clinics are), but there have been some pretty grim documentaries. AIUI, a lot of folks there still don't trust western-style medicine.

I used to howl when I played football or paintball. It has about the same effect (on me) as giving a rebel yell and can really get you pumped up if done right.

Besides, it's fun. Seriously, let out a wolf howl right now. It feels good!

Man fined for howling like a dog

Quote:
HOWLING like a dog in his front yard has cost a man $400.

Dwayne Ellwin Boyd, 34, entered an endorsed plea of guilty to disorderly behaviour in public in Mandurah Magistrates Court.
I wonder if they are both single?
