Comment: I've heard about this new "off menu" item from McDonalds.
Apparently its called the McGangBang. Supposedly its made from the
cheeseburger and chicken sandwich available on McD's dollar menu. I've
read that this combination makes a huge sandwich that only costs "$2.19".
Supposedly the sandwich is made from taking the chicken sandwich and
putting inside the cheeseburger.
According to what I've found its become so prevalent that you can actually
order it from some restaurants.
I'm just curious if this is true or not mostly given the offensive title
of this "off-menu" item

Sounds like one of those "Secrets" things (sorry, it's blocked at work so I can't link to it) in which you were supposed to go into any Subway restaurant and tell the sandwich maker to make the sandwich s/he has always wanted to.

Um, yeah. I think I'll be waiting a looooong time for either sandwich...

The McChicken is on the dollar menu, and I think the double cheeseburger is just over a buck, so I guess you can make your own for about $2.19 by ordering both and throwing away one of the buns. Not sure of the point, though; I don't think those two go well together.

I'm guessing that the author of this just thought that it would be funny to have people walking into McDonalds and ordering McGangbangs. If you don't know why that would amuse some people, put the word gangbang into Google!

at least for this part, I can attest that the McGangBang appears nowhere on the menu at the ISB mcdonald's in daytona beach. the 50 bajillion times I visited the restaurant while living there, I would've noticed. besides, the mcdonald's on A1A (beachside, right in the center of all that spring breaker crap) is much more likely for that sort of thing.

(not that I think any of us were really expecting that it would be on a menu at any mcdonald's. I hope.)

To me it just sounds like one of those inside jokes - either a joke among staff at one outlet or a joke between regulars and staff at one outlet.

The one that cracks me up, and is for real, is the Wimpy "Big Bender" - a large, curled sausage in a bun. The exhortation to "get your mouth around a big bender" could leave teens in fits of laughter.

From sweet to savoury - at about 1:40pm we lift the sesame seed bun off the hamburger. Originally a cheap portable meal for factory workers it's morphed into a food unit that's conquered the world. As well as some history I’m flipping burgers with a Russian couple who've been making them for 27 years. Plus a listener (here’s Dylan eating one) who's tried a McGangBang...not something rude you do in a fast food restaurant...all will be revealed!
