If it's real (i.e. actually a foot, of a yowie or something more normal), I wonder how it was severed? |

Whatever it is it doesn't appear to be human. Maybe a bear/cub or Bigfoot's long lost love child...
Fox paw with mange? |

It looks like the paw of a sloth to me.
Edit: it's the wrong number of fingers for a sloth, but the people in the comments have suggested other animals that it could belong to. I see no reason to suspect that it is not from a known animal. Furthermore, a commenter on the web-site has made a good argument that the footprints in the photograph are fake. Last edited by Troodon; 28 February 2007 at 07:59 AM. |

I opt for front paw of a kangaroo, they have 5 claws on their front paws.
http://www-personal.umich.edu/~anton...garoo_feet.jpg There is no scale on the photos so you can't tell how big the paw is, but kanagroos can get pretty big. |

That looks just like a kangaroo paw to me.

Yeah, they've been resisting it for years as some kind of great Southern conspiracy to introduce science to their schoolkids.

To me, it looks a lot like a Bradypus tridactylus' claw :

Unfortunately sloths live in Central and South America and Queensland is on the other side of the Earth from there.
I'd guess it's some kind of animal that digs for termites or other stuff in hard ground. |

Looks a bit like a mock-up to me to be honest.
