Ponder Puerto Rico

Comment: The island of Puerto Rico was supposed to be named San Juan, but
a map maker accidently transposed the two names, inadvertantly naming the
island after the "rich port" instead of a saint (as so many other
Carribean islands are), and vice-versa.

My undergrad minor was Puerto Rican & Hispanic Caribbean Studies, and this was one of the things I learned in my History of Puerto Rico class. I still have many of the books, so I'll have to go home and check to verify so I can provide a citation. When Columbus landed there, he named the island San Juan Bautista, but I guess the question is whether the city was named Puerto Rico.

They're both good board games, though
