Flame Candles killed Yankee Candle owner

Comment: Came across this on an Amazon discussion thread:

The owner of Yankee Candle died very young of cancer because of all the
pthalates he inhaled from his inventions. Yankee Candles, as tested by our
lab in school, are basically a toxic mass of scent when burnt. Why would
you do this test you ask? Local company. For a 10 mile radius Yankee
Candle and the pickle factory were all you could smell for years.

If you are into scented candles, this is one of the places you should
really make sure you spend the money and get something non-toxic as you
are only poisoning yourself. Even many of the "green" soy candles are
dangerous. A simple rule of thumb - avoid flames and scents. This applies
for the vast majority of applications.

*****

However, the founder of Yankee Candle, Michael Kittredge did not die at a
young age. He does have cancer, but it's genetic-linked Hodgkin's and is
still alive and involved in cancer research. This info is sourced all over
the web. It's believed that this rumor about him is being spread by candle
competitors. Apparently the candle business is full of flamers. Too much
of a stretch?

Wow! That site is scary!

I must now go and cleanse my home to get rid of my candles, incense, gargoyle and dragon figurines, stuffed animals, anything with paisley patterns on it, and anything that looks vaguely Oriental, Indian, African, or American Indian. Don't want to invite the demons in. I'd better tell my husband his record collection is cursed, too, and has to go. Of course, since men put curses on women, I'll have to watch out for him doing that. Maybe I should just burn the record collection while he's out of the apartment...

I'd have nothing left.

Have you ever smelled a Paula Deen scented candle? The mocha ones, in particular? Those things border on orgasmic. So, obviously, she manufactures horny demon candles.
