Default The so-called "Russian Scam"

I was pointed to this video, and while I believe it is fake, there are many comments on the video claiming this is standard suggestion, used by CIA and former KGB agents. Has anyone seen this?

The video is certainly genuine, the "scammer" is British psychological illusionist Derren Brown.

A similar trick of his is to claim winnings on a losing betting slip - note how he shows a random punter how to successfully pull the scam off.

His subliminal advertising one is prety mind-boggling too. I didn't realise we registered so much. You can see how he does this one at the start where you see the end-product on a bars chalk-board.

He's a bloody great entertainer.

The clip of the Russian Scam reminded me of high school. I was at an assembly, where some guy was teaching us how to sell something. To show a yet unexplained technique, he called me up to the front (I was in the front row, lucky me). He was babbling about how you can sell anything from the fliers, charm oozing everywhere like the professional that he was, and held a flier towards me. I took it, and at that second, he stopped and yelled, "YOU SEE HOW EASY THAT WAS?! I DIDN'T EVEN TELL HER TO TAKE IT, SHE JUST DID! THAT'S HOW EASY CUSTOMER SALES CAN BE!!!!"

I'm still not sure if I was more embarrassed or deaf after he did that.

My favourite Derren Brown bit was "The Heist", where he managed to get 3 out of 4 people to rob a security van, with a few months brain-washing.

That was pretty funny! I think he's the only celebrity (well in the UK) i would'nt run up to and ask for an autograph. I'd run for the hills!

His live shows always seems to dissapoint me though, he really is at his best on the streets.

I never heard of this guy until now, but I've been watching a few of his clips on youtube and there so funny!
I'm wondering how well these would work on me, generally I'm not very succeptible to suggestion, at least not quick things like these.
