Pronounciation of "911" as in the emergency number
DH is watching the History Channel and the show claims that at first 911 was pronounced 'nine eleven' but then it was thought that some people might go looking for "11" on the phone, so the pronunciation was changed to "nine one one". DH says 'hogwash!" as do I. I remember that being the punchline of a really stupid an crass joke, but that's about it.
