Online sweethearts turn out to be neighbours
A British couple who met on a dating website turned out to be neighbours who had lived only a few houses apart for 17 years.

My husband and I found out after meeting through online dating that we grew up in the same hometown, when to the same high school (although at different times) and were currently living about a 5 minute drive apart from one another. Where's our news coverage?

my ex and I met through an online dating site, and found out on our first date that he had been born in the house my best friend currently lives (his family had sold the house to my friend's family). I casually pointed out that I used to live down a particular street, and he said "so did I!" so we drove down the street, and when we got to my former house, I pointed it out, and he says "I was born in the house right next door!", which was the house my best friend lives.

My SO and I lived across the street from each other 3 times, and in the same apartment building once over the course of 5 years, and never met..
Oddly enough at a 20 year neighborhood reunion i organized in April, she knew people from my circle of friends back then too. It's amazing that we were so close and never crossed paths... but that's how the world works.
