Comment: Thank you for years of information. I am staggered at the depth
and accuracy of your research. My wife and I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

Comment: THANK YOU!
I rarely stop to think how I take many things that are so readily on the web. Your site is a true wonder of the information age. I can't remember how many times I have used your site to dispell the trash that is sent to discredit so many things and people. I have on many occasions replied to the senders and their other email intendees that they should check with this site before accepting a great many things that sound too good to be true or at the other end of the spectrium so outragious and inflamatory toward others. I truly hope that this and other sites like this will remain avalible as they are now and in the future. THANK YOU ALL AGAIN

Comment: Just wanted to wish you all the most joyous of holidays: merry
Christmas, happy Hanukkah, blessed Kwanzaa, and all the best in the New Year, as, as always, you've provided us and ours hours & hours of happy clicking onto the site, and the resulting reaping of a bounteous harvest of absolutely terrific information this year. (Sorry for the purple-patchy prose, but ya'll are THE BEST!)

Comment: I just want you to know that I love your site and I frequent it
almst daily. Especially when I get a forward of something that seems ridiculous. I have to admit, I fell for the Mr. Ed thing. I thank you for doing that. As many people blindly follow and believe internet forwards, I did the same with your site. To think, someone with a degree in history not fact checking or reading the whole thing. My diploma weeps in the corner. Please, keep up the great work! If you ever need any freelance help, Indiana can get quite boring! Thanks!

Comment: I've enjoyed stumbling upon your site. I'm inundated with heart
wrenching emails all the time and have grown very skeptical of my Christian friends who lack the most basic critical thinking skills. I now reply to their emails with a link to your site. Good work. Thanks.

Have a very Happy New Year Barbara. Will look forward to reading all that's
new on Snopes for 2007. It's a great site. I always go to it when I receive a forward from someone, because most of what I receive sound like they're off the wall. You all do a wonderful job. Thank you for all the work involved to keep us all informed. If there were no Snopes we would believe everything we read!

Comment: I want to take a moment at the end of this year to thank YOU for
taking the time to dispell some of the stupid urban legends that folks try to circulate via email. It's so nice to be able to go to your site, click on an urban legend and email that to my friends who are so danged gullible, that they believe just about anything. It's nice also to be able to see which legends are actually the truth, such as the "Let's say thanks" campaign. Keep up the good work!! I personally appreciate all that you do.

Comment: Have enjoyed your urban legends writeups all of 2006 and look
forward to another year. Thanks for all your efforts. You needn't reply to this, since I know you must stay busy. Just wanted to let you know your work is appreciated.

Comment: Hi there,
I just wanted to send an email to say how much I love your site. I hate chain mails and I constantly wonder how people can believe some of the crazy stuff strangers write. Whenever I get a chain mail I check it out on your site first, if it is a hoax (and so far all of them have been) I forward the senders a link to your site. Anyways, I just wanted to say thanks and keep up the good work!

Comment: I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate the service
you do with this website. When I first started surfing the internet, about eight or nine years ago, I would forward all sorts of junk. One day I got a return message from a friend, with your url enclosed; I had sent him a forwarded email that was a hoax, and he was telling me how he checks the veracity of the things he would receive. Today I got a message from my sister telling me what a bunch of crooks we have in congress, so I looked up the subject on Snopes (NBA OR NFL?), copied the url, and sent it to my sister, along with the admonition to do a little homework before she routinely sends out the next false rumor she receives. I also suggested she forward MY message to the people who sent her the hoax. Again, thank you! I use your website several times a week, and I have found it very easy to navigate, and extremely handy! Happy New Year to you and yours!

Comment: Thank you for all the good work you do.
I do enjoy reading your commentaries (and explanations) ... breathes a bit of common sense into some pretty outrageous claims. Your research is top-notch.

Comment: Thank you for a WONDERFUL resource. I've referred hundreds of
people to your website, mostly for disputing and/or verifying their "claims". I've used this site 6 times already this week. Thanks again!!!

Comment: Dear Barbara:
I don't often write to fellow journalists (I figure you have enough to do just trying to cover these stories) but in your case I feel you've earned a well-deserved Thank You for all your hard work this year. 99% of comments on the web shows little if any thinking. I greatly admire your ability to succinctly summarize even the most volatile story in a non-partisan way with clear logic. Wow. Thanks again for your absolutely invaluable website. I continually reference it on the Computer Outlook radio talk show as a Must Have bookmark.

Comment: Dear Snoops,
I love you! Thank you for helping me not to make a fool of myself by taking part in passing on false information to my friends and family. The distruction that is caused by all the false emails is incalculable. You do a great service. May you be as blessed as Google.

Your website is the BEST - #1 on my list. I send all my friends to your
site - especially when they send me one of those "IT'S TRUE!!!" Emails - it's a nice way to give them a mental "slap" and make them think before forwarding garbage!

Comment: Thank you for this site!!!!! It has done wonders for me being
able to cut down on the rumor mill. Especially with my elderly Mom believing it all.
