Comment: All I have to say is, "Thank You!" I receive so much junk
e-mail. Some are so outlandish, they are hard to believe. I always check
with Snopes.com before I pass along to others. If the content of the
e-mail offends, irritates or is harmful to someone's reputation or
character, or is an out and out lie, I forward your Snopes.com article
back to the sender. Some people get so bent our of shape over false
information, when all they have to do is check with Snopes.com. Again,
thank you for being there.

Comment: I have to admit, I love your site. I can't tell you how many
times I've gotten an e-mail about something someone did, or someone was
taken, etc. and I've come here to determine how legit the e-mail is. It
helps me do my part in stopping the e-mails that are not true and to pass
on the ones that are.

Comment: Hi...just wanted you to know that I discovered your site years
ago (6 or 7 maybe?) and was fascinated. I immediately read through all of
the "common" urban legends (murderer leaves hook on car door) that I had
grown up on and moved on to the Disney legends from there.

When I started working in IT full-time, I relied on your research into
hoaxes to educate my users on why they shouldn't automatically believe and
forward everthing they see in their inbox.

You've been a great resource and I'd like to thank you for that. I loved
the article in Reader's Digest. My husband and I also work from opposite
ends of our home and have 3 dogs and 4 cats. I may try the post-it method
of communication as well!

are so many emails that come through with dire warnings and unfortunately
most seem to be false or misguided at best. i am thankful for a place to
go to confirm or negate these emails. if everyone would use your site, we
could put an end to these erroneous emails. i know people have good
intentions when they pass things on, but they are just being lazy if they
don't take the time to check it out for themselves before passing it
