Comment: Was happy to read such a positive article about you guys in
April's Reader's Digest. I exasperate so many of my friends who send me junk when I write them back with a link from your site after I have "snoped" what they have sent me. Some people out there would like to discredit you guys. I'm glad Reader's Digest brought you to the fore so more people will take you seriously. |

Comment: I first became aware of your site when googling a spurious story
(plastics-in-the-micro memo alledgedly from Walter Reed & Johns Hopkins) some years ago. Since then I've checked veracity with you 2 or 3 times a year, but frequently it doesn't occur to me. So, today I've added snopes to my "Favorites" in hopes of reminding myself to use your site more often. All this to say Thanks from Toronto. |

Comment: I just read about you in this months Readers Digest. All this
time I have assumed it was a large business that verified all of these rumors. I use your site almost daily to verify emails I receive. I work with a group of women who seem to be very fearful and gullible. I love being able to put their fears to rest with your research. Thanks for the wonderful work you do. |

Comment: I just wanted to send a quick message to thank you guys for what
you're doing with this site. I have used it for years, but lately my sister-in-law has felt it very important to inform her whole address book about the latest government plot, poison scare, alien abduction and gang random violence warning that she gets. I've made a habit of replying to everyone with a link to your site debunking all of her emails but she keeps sending them. At any rate, thanks. You're doing a lot of good by keeping stupid internet rumors at bay. I appreciate it. |

Comment: I just wanted to send another Thank-you to the people at Snopes
for providing much needed and enjoyable reading. The artice which inspired this note has to do with Update # 407 which tells the story of a statue with a tear drop delivered to New York a few years ago. This was something I wasn't aware of and I e-mailed the article to several of my friends as I'm sure they were unaware, also. Goes to show, Snopes isn't just about sorting out true or false tales of killer viruses. It's an informative site all round! Thank you once again! |

I got my Snopes newsletter today and read up on you in RD; interesting!!! I must tell you that I rely on your site frequently. I've even had friends asking me to "check out" some e-mail thingy and I never hestitate to send them the appropriate link. Come to think of it, I don't hestitate to send the link even if the sender DOESN'T ask for it...any little thing I can do to help! You two do a wonderful service with all your hard work and up-to-date information. It never fails to amaze me - the crappola that people will not hesitate to believe and forward. You guys are the cat's meow, as far as I'm concerned. Keep up the great - and invaluable - work. |

Have been a huge fan of your site for years. I refer SO MANY people to your site each day (after receiving their fwd.fwd.fwd.fwd.fwd (you get the idea) emails of utter lunacy. I just LOVE having a RELIABLE source to send them to in order to attempt to STOP THE INSANITY. It's actually worked with several of these SERIAL SENDERS. Ahhh, peace returns to my messy desk... There are still the delusional few who insist on sending even after I've point them to your WONDERFUL SITE, and respond back and let me know, "Well it might not be true, but better safe than sorry." For these people, I just give up, block sender, and hope that they are not making plans to have children. Thank you again and I hope that you continue to enjoy your hunt for facts!!! |
