Beware of the hoax

Emails that warn of preying rapists and ruthless carjackers are currently doing the rounds, but how seriously should we take them?

When the police arrived, they found the man in the back seat of the girl's car and asked him what he was doing. He replied, he was joining a gang and the initiation to join is to kidnap a woman and bring her back to the gang to be raped by every member of the gang.

Boy, gang members these days sure are forthright! They didn't have to take him into an interrogation room or anything. And he, apparently without any prompting, confessed to a far greater crime than if he had just said he was going to mug her.

And they say people don't have much integrity any more!

Oh, and this UL's got whiskers on it. Forwarding this story is like thinking you'll get a laugh out of someone by telling them that newfangled chicken-crossing-the-road joke.
