Well, being born on April 13, I don't consider birthdays falling on that day unlucky at all.

I agree with the article, it's because the superstitious people are more careful and stay home more. I especially like the part about less drivers, as I have to go somewhere today and I have to do the driving.

A little off topic but we stayed in a hotel recently after a wedding in Chicago that id not have a 13th floor. Although I had to point out with other people n the elevator that it stil had a thirteenth floor but was just numered dfferently. Calling it the forteenth floor did not change the fact that it was still the thirteenth floor.


I know it was mean, I blame all the vodka and orange juice drinks I had at the reception. I wonder if any of the people in the elevator with us were superstitious.

Sorry! They did a study about weather Friday the 13th is actually unlucky?

Are they also investigating whether people who break mirrors have seven years bad luck or if there are snow queens at the back of wardrobes?

In one of the James Bond books, it mentions that he always flies on Friday the 13th when possible, as the planes are slightly less crowded on that day.
