Prosecutor Warns About Propane Tanks Used for Meth

Prosecutor Joe Deters passed along an alert from the National Propane Gas Association which warns that some methamphetamine makers use empty propane tanks to store anhydrous ammonia, a component in the meth-making process.

But urban legend Web site Snopes.com points out that so far, no injuries have been reported, and the odds of an unsuspecting customer getting a contaminated tank is extremely low.
