Amazon.com Easter egg
Comment: Something I found that's hidden on Amazon.com website.
Scroll to the bottom and click on Directory of All Stores. When that page opens, click and drag a small area directly below the 1996-2007 dates at the very bottom. You will be able to create a small click-able box; if you click it, it supposedly takes you to a web page that thanks some guy named David Risher for being Amazon.com's favorite site surfer. http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.htm...8&docId=447307 Is this for real or a joke? |

Yes it is real. God I can't believe how bored I am tonight to have tried that.
Or why the interested commenter didn't. |

Well, David Risher is not only a real person, he was an integral part of building Amazon into what it is today.

Right then, my round. So that's a Tequila with lemon, a Tequila with lime, a pint of Carlesberg and I'll have a rum and coke.

Have you ever seen what THEY MAKE into tequuila? How can it matter? They use giant mutant pineapple that mated with cacti for pete's sake!
Edit: Wiki says you can add lemon instead of lime.

Neat. But you don't have to click and drag to make the box. It's coded into the page.

Just in case anyone is curious about how to get to that page, here's an entry from the Easter Egg Archive that explains. And by the way, it was me who found the poem embedded into the page's source ('Andylkl' is an old username of mine).

is the poem in the source for the easter egg page? I just opened it up and can't find it....
ETA: there is, however, the word MEOW at the bottom of the source. this makes me giggle.

Looks like the poem was removed, the last time I saw it was 2004!

Believe it or not it is exceptionally good with grapefruit instead of either lemon or lime.

Or even better - neither. Why ruin the burn? Who needs training wheels?
