Recieved in email:
Read the text before you play the attached video. Jennifer and Jim kept getting huge water bills. They knew beyond a doubt that the bills weren't representative of their actual usage, and no matter how they tried to conserve, the high bills continued.Although they could see nothing wrong, they had everything checked for leaks or problems: first the water meter, then outdoor pipes, indoor pipes, underground pipes, faucets, toilets, washer, ice maker, etc. -- all to no avail. One day Jim was sick and stayed home in bed, but kept hearing water running downstairs. He finally tore himself from his sick bed to investigate, and stumbled onto the cause of such high water bills. Apparently this was happening all day long when they were not at home. Knowing that few would believe him, he taped a segment of the problem' for posterity -- see attached video wmv file of "problem found"

My Charlie likes to watch the water too - I'm glad he hasn't learned the trick in that video!

Venus, one of our kitties, has figured out how to do the same thing with the humidifiers we've got at home...
She loves to watch them bubble, and has figured out that if she grabs the top of the water container and shakes it hard enough, she can make the humidifier bubble any time she wants. Simple pleasures...

The video looks extremly unrelated to the text if you ask me.
plus it would seem logic to me that the cat would also do this when the owners are at home or sleeping |

Given the comments by the guy I'd have to agree. He says "our water bill is going to be outrageous" as well as "I think we have a problem". That doesn't support the story that an on going mystery has finally been solved

This is one reason I had to teach my wife not only does the seat need to be down, but the lid as well. The cat did not flush, but did play with the water and soaked the floor all the time.

Interesting that the cat's owner refers to it as a kitten- looks a bit big for a kitten.

I still call my 14 y.o. cat 'kitten' and my 7 y.o. dog 'puppy'.

Ummmm...my cat didn't have to flush the toilet. I used to do it for her.
"Here it comes, baby! Are you ready? Watch!...Ooooooh! Whirrrl-poooool!!!" :o |

We've just made the decision to toilet train our cats, maybe I can get them to flush for themselves as well.

Go to the snopes page, ya'll are apparently killing my bandwidth... which I thought was higher.
ETA ---bumped it up a little, but there's been 2gb of this little gem DL'ed so far. Going to delete it.

Are you sure you haven't turned the tables regarding ownership here?
