Default Anyone remember this incident?

I have seen this video (or in this case, a .gif) several times over the years but have never known the context. Does anyone know what was going on here?

Google results for "Old Lady Punch"

I tried to find the link I had ages ago with the explanation. But, alas, I couldn't find it. Some of those links in the Google search have some explanations and the video has sound.

From the old board I seem to recall that the setting is a courthouse at the conclusion of a murder trial in which the younger woman was a witness. The recipient of the punch has made a reference to the witness's use of marijuana, noting that "Carey / Teri had THC in her system."

I think it's the video discussed in this thread on the old board, but I can't watch it to remind myself because the original link isn't working.

Note Electrotiger's post half way down page 1:

Holy crap, I know where this came from.

It's in a courthouse at Springfield, Missouri, circa 1998ish. It was shot by a photographer from the Springfield NBC affiliate, KYTV-3. I don't remember who, but I'm sure I could find out, and find some more context.

I used to work there. This was on a reel of collected "oddities" (bloopers, amazing local video, horrible live news screw-ups, etc.) that we were very clearly told was supposed to "stay in the family," so to speak, at the station.

Actually, now that I think about it, I'm surprised that it made it this long without being thrown around the web.
(edit) Also Danger Echidna's post with the following links:

If it's not the same video then I guess this is irrelevant...
