Glasses Albert Einstein, hockey goalie?

Comment: Famed theorist/physicist Albert Einstein played goalie for the
Canwood (Saskatchewan) Canucks one winter while sojourning north to Canada
to "find peace and silence" for his work on the Theory of Relativity. He
had played hockey in his younger yrs. in Germany.

Einstein never came to North America until well after relativity was finished and he was the most famous scientist on Earth. His first visit to America was in 1921, and his travels were well documented at the time. He just couldn't have disappeared into Canada without being noticed.

From some quick searches at hockeydb.com (they have extensive records of hockey statistics), 11 people with the last name Stein have hockey experience. There are some Steiner's, Einfeld's and other variations, but no Einstein.

Well I respect the wealth of knowledge available at hockeydb.com, I doubt they would have a complete compendium of rec league stats, which undoubtedly Canwood, with it's present day population of approximately 1700 would have been.
