Katrina deaths not classified as homicides

In a move that could complicate prosecutors' efforts to bring murder charges against a doctor and two nurses accused of euthanizing four critically ill hospitals patients during the panic after Hurricane Katrina, the New Orleans coroner has decided not to classify the deaths as homicides.
