Fight The (One-Armed) Karate Kid

Comment A friend of mine told me a story a few years ago about a
kid with only one arm who wanted to learn martial arts, but no one would
teach him. He went to teacher after teacher, but no one wanted to teach a
one-armed kid. He finally found one teacher who said he would teach him if
the kid would do exactly as the teacher told him to. The teacher had this
kid practice one move, and one move only, over and over until he could do
it perfectly. Using only this move, this kid won championships. The
reason? The only way to defend against this move is to grab the person's
other arm, the one this kid doesn't have.

If this were even possibly true, then the kid should sign up for the UFC and clean house.

That is just stupid. As the only defensive tactic (ie to break a hold) there would be no reason to grab an arm that wasn't being used anyway.

Sounds like one of those stories that people make up to motivate losers.
