His grandfather converted to Islam, but his father became an athiest before Barack was ever born. His mother has been portrayed as a little more agnostic than athiest, but she certainly wasn't a part of any organized religion either.

In terms of the end of the world and good music (see Zorro's post above), I've noticed that Stairway to heaven could be interpreted (insert scary music here :o ) as a prophecy predicting 9/11.

According to the Bible (Very little information in Revelation, but the Epistles of John, Thessalonians, the Book of Daniel, and various apocrypha), the Antichrist will be a Hebrew man, probably from the Tribe of Dan. He will sit in the temple and deny that Jesus Christ. He will perform supernatural signs and claim divine authority to attract a following, not just charm the nations. He may even claim to be the true Messiah, and that Jesus was the pretender. He will be assassinated but revived by Satan, and endure three years with mortal wounds. In that three years, he will not only promise but deliver world peace before being defeated by Jesus in His return.

At the very least, Obama is going to have to pull a miracle or two out of his bum to meet the requirements. And I don't count winning the election as a miracle - I want calmed hurricanes and parted seas.

That would make it impossible for him to pass as the messiah. One of the criteria for the messiah is that he be a descendant of King David, and apparently david was from the tribe of judah.

Actually, the Bible does not say that a future world dictator will be called the "Antichrist," will arise. The word "antichrist" appears only in two books of the Bible, and both are in the New Testament. There are I and II John. John is referring to the Gnostics--or some forerunners to them--who did not believe that Jesus Christ was a mortal man with a flesh-and-blood body who died on the cross and was resurrected. They believed that Jesus was a pure spirit being because they regarded the physical body as inherently evil and the spirit as inherently good. John stated that this teaching is "the spirit of the antichrist."

The book of Revelation was written to give a warning and bring hope to Christians in Asia Minor (modern-day Turkey) who feared persecution from the Roman Emperor Domitian at around 95 C.E. Passages like Revelation chapter 13 and 17 denounce the cult of emperor worship. And Revelation 19proclaims its defeat.

It was Ireneas early in the second century who thought that the antithesis of Christ would be a Jew from the tribe of Dan.

Finally, this name-the-antichrist game has been going on for centuries. And to proclaim any fairly decent individual as the full epitomy of evil is libelous and defamatory!
