I can't even see the video but the commentary below it pretty much sums it up.

False.

Bunk. Notice nothing turns on or off without one of his hands under the table. I can think of no scientific reason this would even work in theory.

ETA: Yeah, what Salamander just said. I just went back and read the comments...

Yeah false, where is the circuit? BTW can I see a video next time of generating electricity by pain drying? I'm sure it will be more interesting.

It's not an alligator lead, it's a lead with alligator clips at both ends.

Ponder HeHeHe

If you put the player ON PAUSE and then adjust the video slider you will
find an instant in time when only one candle is lit and the light is CLEARLY
ON.
It's at approx. 2 minutes and 19 seconds into the video

There is power source not seen and it's controlled by others.

It's obvious to me that the cut scene (with the magnet) was included so that the candles could be prepared with electrical leads coming out the bottom or back so that the leads would be hidden from view by the candles themselves.

Yep, clearly a hoax, but he's laughing all the way to the bank with it.

$467 earned through "Producer Rewards" at http://www.metacafe.com at time of posting this. At this rate he'll be able to afford a small generator soon.

Couldn't he have at least made a pedal switch? Or had someone else flip the switch? It's a very poorly executed trick.

Even without having a friend help, he could have at least kept his hands under the table and lit the candles without switching hands with the lighter. That drew a lot of attention to his hand going under the table IMO.

And for get the $467- you know he's laughing simply because many people are trying this as we speak.
