And how would it get in there?

Very carefully, as to avoid detection. Good thing the blade placer didn't cut off the tip of thier finger and go to Wendys. |

Any fast-food workers who know what on earth razor blades might be used for at a McDonalds?

Depends on if it was a box cutter blade or a safety razor blade.
I could see there being a box cutter blade at a fast food restaurant, but not a safety razor blade. |

I saw a picture on the news, and it was one of these. It also said that the manager had similar if not identical razor blades in his desk.
Do fast food managers even have desks, though? It was Fox News (please don't ask why I was watching it), though, so take everything with a grain of salt. |

When I read the title I couldn't help but think of Wesley Snipes ground up into meat patty.

IME, yes, they do. Cheap metal desks crammed into tiny little offices. They need a place to do paperwork, write up schedules, lock up personnel files, etc.

The type of blade pictured is used in some older style box cutters. (In my earlier life i was a bk manager) The only scenario i could imagine is an employee unloading the truck gets called to the kitchen during a sudden rush andfails to put away the box cutter before going

Agreed with that being the style of razor blade used in the "cheap" boxcutters (the simple holder with a corner of the blade exposed), but I do have to be very very skeptical about the blade making it through the assembly of the sandwich without notice.

Another use for razor blades would be on the end of a scrapper to get gum off the floor and from under the tables.
I have no idea if they still even use those but the thought of one of those in my muffin has just made me gag. |
