Is Sen. Ted Kennedy trying to prevent Vanity Fair from publishing a story about a man who claims to be the illegitimate son of Ted's brother, John F. Kennedy? Sources say the magazine's David Friend has been working on the article for a year and a half, and sent photographer Harry Benson to Vancouver to photograph the tall, handsome man in his late 40s — whose first name is Jack and who bears a strong resemblance to the 35th president assassinated in 1963.

Well, that settles it. Only a son of a Kennedy would be named Jack.....

Why would Ted Kennedy work to suppress this? Is he afraid it will ruin JFK's political career?
Seriously, does he think it will be hurtful to Caroline Kennedy? She's a 50-year-old woman who's probably heard all the stories about her father (and she might like to meet a half-brother, if this is legit). |

I'm curious about this "strong resemblance". Is there any chance there's a pic out there?

The man who American journalists are investigating as the possible illegitimate son of John F. Kennedy lives in British Columbia and bears a striking resemblance to the 35th president of the United States.
So much so, that people will sometimes stop him on the street. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servl.../National/home |

Unless I missed something, this guy didn't actually say he was "JFK's [love] child." It sounds like he's just someone who coincidentally looks a lot like JFK, and he's playing along with the "love child" story.

The man at the centre of a John F. Kennedy mystery is revealing new details, including his name and his birthday – an astonishing date should he indeed be related to the Kennedy clan.
Jack Worthington also agreed to allow The Globe and Mail to take his photograph, but only after his name was revealed by a Vancouver publication. He had been speaking with The Globe over the past few days on condition of anonymity. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servl.../National/home |

That, and the fact that the picture does not really look much like JFK, or at least anymore than a random brown haired white guy.

The British Columbia-based man who has the world wondering whether he is the son of John F. Kennedy is a follower of a U.S. author widely dismissed as a conspiracy theorist on the Kennedy assassination.

On the letters page of the Globe and Mail today, a writer suggests that Worthington should forget about comparing his DNA with Kennedy DNA and look instead to Osmond DNA.

Jack Worthington? Was he discovered as an infant by the late Mr. Thomas Cardew in a handbag in the cloak room at Victoria Station?

About 35 years ago I read in a tabloid (where else?) that Marilyn Monroe have birth to JFK's illegitimate daughter. The girl was whisked off to an island off California to be care for by some prominent family. The discoverer of this Kennedy family secret claimed to have seen the girl when she was about six or seven years old. She was supposedly born in either 1961 the year before Marilyn killed herself. Marilyn was admitted to a hospital for a nervous breakdown in early '61, but her admission was for the purpose of giving birth.
Back then, I believed this story. However, I now think it's all bunk. The tale nowadays is that Marilyn's admission to the hospital was either because of a miscarriage of JFK's child or to have an (illegal!) abortion. B. A. Rainey |
