United States God told GWB to go into Afghanistan and Iraq

Comment: I was recently reading a press release for a new book, and in the
middle it contained this:
In our time, President Bush has stated, "I am driven with a mission
from God. God would tell me, `George, go and fight these terrorists
in Afghanistan'. And I did. And then God would tell me `George,
go and end the tyranny in Iraq'. And I did."

It didn't sound right to me, so naturally I headed to your site to verify
it. I couldn't find it referenced anywhere, so I turned next to google.
What I found were a dozen left-leaning web sites all repeating it as if it
were true, plus one actual news article:
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article...817570,00.html
The salient line in that article: "[the originator] has since modified his
original account..."

God never said GWB could send in subsitutes for him. God specificly told GWB to do it himself.

Woodward's book has the closest quote that is well documented.

Quote:
Bush said he did not remember asking the question of his father, former president George H.W. Bush, who fought Iraq in the 1991 Persian Gulf War. But, he added that the two had discussed developments in Iraq.

"You know he is the wrong father to appeal to in terms of strength. There is a higher father that I appeal to," Bush said.
