Icon215 SuperBibleBowl

From my sister-in-law (and slightly edited), under the title "How God is working today!" A pdf file of the ad was attached to the email; I couldn't find it online after a brief search, but it may be out there.

Quote:
This came to us from good friends ... Obviously they are proud of Coach Dungy.

Thanks to S for sending this on - these two men are a wonderful testimony of God at work in their lives. ... As we watch or follow the Super Bowl on Sunday let us join Campus Crusade and Christians praying for God's work to be done in a mighty way through the witness of Christian men and athletes. There is so much hype over the Super Bowl and even more this year with history being made with two African American coaches - both of whom are outspoken about their faith. Praise God!!

Hi there D.,

The attached Super Bowl ad will appear in USA today on Friday (full page) and it is paid for by Campus Crusade for Christ (Athletes in Action) where I am so priviliged to serve! The web site it refers you to will be an amazing testimony and available on Friday when the ad comes out.

The two football coaches have also allowed us to hand out 66000 pamphlets to all Super Bowl attendees called "Real People, Real Faith." This is such an amazing landmark happening and I wanted to share it with you. God is good!

Maybe you could send this to the prayer team to ask them to pray for hearts that are prepared to receive the message of Christ that is being handed to them.

Love,
S.
I am sure all those people who attend the game in Miami will read that pamplet and immediately repent... or something.

But, aren't those coaches working on the Sabbath? Kinda sinful...

Anyone else notice a distinct lack of post-game "prayer circles" lately? Back when Reggie White was still in the game, nearly every broadcast ended with a quick shot of a group of 15 or so players taking a knee in a circle, holding hands, and having a post-game prayer. I don't see that anymore. Not complaining, just noticing.

Crash The Coaches?

Hi All:

The OP states that the coaches have allowed allowed this organization to hand out their pamphlets. But wouldn't this be a decision by the management of the stadium and/or the NFL? I wouldn't imagine that the coaches would have authority in this matter.

I know, I'm letting logic into the world of glurge. I'll do it myself

Slight clarification for those who know me - this is from my brother's wife, not my husband's sister. For those who know her - this would be REALLY BIZARRE coming from her!
