Any middle schooler can tell you that it's almost impossible to drink a gallon of milk in an hour without throwing up. Few, however, can tell you they've tried the so-called "Gallon Challenge" at school, and fewer still under the watchful eye of their teacher.

Well, it seems like the teacher had very poor judgement and this is ridiculous.
Now for the hijack: I've always suspected that I could do this with skim milk. I believe the full "gallon challenge" uses whole milk, which I doubt I could do. But I drink a ton of milk - three fairly large glasses (about 12 oz each, I'd say) at every meal, along with the meal, easily. I suspect that with a bit of planning (eating little but drinking water to keep the stomach expanded), I could do it. I have not yet tried, because even so it would probably be unpleasant. |

I could understand if the janitors were outraged.

Possibly poor judgment by the teacher (does anyone know what could happen?) but this is a bit overwrought, I think:

DH's cousin does it on a regular basis. He's a milk fanatic, though.
I guess you could say he's conditioned himself to do it.
