Another one from the "life fimitates myth" category. The myth is that a person loses a ring in the sea and gets it back when it turns up in a fish they catch.
An Australian woman claims the nose stud she lost in the sea off Tasmania turned up inside a fish caught by her fiance three days later. Maybe I've read so many ULs I find the "life imitates myth" news stories fishy

We've always joked that someone was in for a surprise when they catch the fish that swallowed the glass eye my Uncle lost while swimming (back in the mid 80's). Of course it's probably on the bottom of the lake somewhere but still...

Aaah, but it only works if you send your uncle (or a close relative) out fishing!

So thats why we've never seen anything on the news! It was a vacation spot they went to and as far as I know, no-one in the family has been back to it.

Wasn't there an EBAY Commercial just like this? A Girl loses her ring down the drain, and then later is eating fish and finds it. I highly doubt that with the millions of fish out there someone could lose a piece of jewelry and then find it in a fish three days later.

Who over the age of three would want to stick something in their nose that came out of a fish?

if you'd stick it in your mouth, why not in your nose? provided it's been cleaned, of course.
(no giggling at the back, there.) |
