Years ago, I heard a story that Pablo Picasso was resting on a beach when a young child approached with a sheet of paper and a set of marker pens, asking for a drawing to be done. Knowing that adults had obviously put the child up to it, he said sure, but painted the child's stomach instead.
He was later to say, "I wonder if they'll ever wash that off". Is it true, or another UL?

Pssst, check the title. I was trying to figure out what "pinting" a child's tummy meant, and if it was some sort of violent act.

The story as I heard it was that a woman asked him for a piece of art whilst he was resting on the beach. He obliged by drawing one in the sand for her and then signed it. She had to watch it being washed away by the incoming tide.
Cheeky woman - good on ya Pablo, I say! P.S did I miss something? I see no "pinting" just "painting" ? |

I know I've heard the sand one before. I thought it was here and tried a search of the UL pages but couldn't find it. Pooh. I thought I had a chow.
