Oprah Winfrey and Tommy Hilfiger cleared up one of the oldest Internet rumors around -- but not to the satisfaction of one clothing company.
Frank Fuller Classic took out a recent magazine ad that exclaims they aren't "racist like Tommy Hilfiger." Yikes! The ad references a false rumor that dates back several years, which Tommy and Oprah both shot down in 2007. http://ko.tmz.com/2007/12/31/tommy-h...-not-a-racist/ |

Lots of companies suffer from this problem. It is very easy for rumors to spread that will smear said company. Trying to remove said smear is a monumental task that can never be 100% successful no matter what monumental efforts they undertake. Pop Rocks had this problem years ago.

One of my co-workers still believes in this. Nothing I said could convince him otherwise. He also believes Walt Disney is anti-Semetic, which is a new one for me.

His Disney beliefs may be due to Family Guy, as I've certainly seen such things "referenced" there.
