I think the point is how bad the guy's analysis is... "web sites"? Couldn't he find it in any older sources?
All that his observation means is that it was made up quite recently and hasn't diverged into different versions yet. The way things are copied by email and cut-and-paste makes reproduction quite faithful, so it's not at all surprising that the versions he found were the same - they were probably all copied from the same source. In fact, I'd say the opposite to what he does - if it was an older tradition then you'd expect to find variation. |
