Icon05 Let The Young Have Their Fun (Three Stories I Just Remembered)!

I was sitting talking with a friend the other night when the conversation drifted into the subject of youthful pranks and we came up with three stories that I remember having read ages ago. What I would like to know is: Do these stories exist outside Sweden and is there any truth whatasoever about them (which I doubt)?
  1. Two students buy a park bench from the local council and carry it away. Of course the police stop them and accuse them of having stolen it. This happens a couple of times with different police patrols and every time they show the receipt and are allowed to go. Eventually words get round among the police that "If you see two young men carrying a park bench don't bother about them. It's theirs". Once this has happened the rest of their friends take every park bench they can find in town and start carry it around the streets.
  2. A student approaches a couple of workmen, busy with digging a hole in the middle of the street, and informs them that within short some students dressed up as policemen will come around and accuse them of blocking the street and digging a hole without a permit. At the same time another student finds a police patrol and tells them that some pranksters are posing as workmen and and are busy digging a whole in the street. Soon enough the policemen and the workmen clash and hilarity ensues.
  3. In the still of the night someone welds the wheels of a tram to the rails with disatrous result for the engine when the driver tries to start it.
