Well, until he's dry his fur might not be fluffy enough to cover his naughty rabbit bits. Dispite the silliness, it seems many pantsless cartoon characters need a towel after a shower. I'm sure I've seen one on Donald Duck and at least a couple of other toons that don't wear pants.
