Comment: Commenting on an article on speed cameras along Interstate highways(
snopes.com: Speed Cameras on Interstate Highways) - I would like to
refute your "false" claim. My old home town of Cedar Rapids Iowa now has
them live along I380 and is issuing tickets via mail for people speeding
along I380. It is an automatied 7x24 speed trap.

If you google it - you can find more info, such as here:

Comment: Actually, you never were an actress of worth....and obviously a
traitor like Jane Fonda. How DARE you enter your opionion when you are a
worthless piece of shit...... Haven't seen you in anything worthwhile in
quite a time.

You and Jane should leap into bed together, you deserve one another. At
least, Jane did some decent acting thanks to her father, whom before he
passed disowned her for reasons we all know. How dare you think your
opinion matters to people of culture....... Rot in Hell Bitch

Comment: Ah, you liberals......you never want to tell the whole story. I
am speaking of the amounts given to certain U.S. Government employees for
repayment of Student Loans. Surely you're not dumb enough not to
think....."WOW", what about the Tax Consequences? of these
payments.....are they taxable?.....if not, then that is taking money out
of my pocket to benefit a certain segment of the population that probably
doesn't need it anyway.....c'mon, do a follow up and address this issue.

Comment: You are wrong about Jane Fonda not passing those papers. I
watched a show many years ago with some of the soldiers that were their
day she gave those pieces of paper to that general. She is a traitor and
you need to check your facts before you give out bogus info and lead
people to believe she is innocent of those charges. Shame on you Snopes.
Who snopes you?

Comment: "Making a Federal Case"n the federal requirements for street
signs has an inaccurate conclusion in the last sentence. I am very
fmailiar with the legiislation and have been following it for 4 years.

YOUr conclusion states taht there is no mandate ot rep[lace current street
name signs until the end of their service life. If you read your own
tezt it states that they all must be replaced by 2018. Furthermore you do
not state another part of the regulation, that ALL signs replaced form the
date of the regulation MUST meet the 2015/2018 requirements.

The heading of TRUE AND FALSE should read TRUE, all signs must be
replaced, but not immediately.

Comment: I want to point out an error in one of your articles. In your
"Religion" section you made a comment about the song "Precious Lord". Your
verbatim quote was "In response to the death of his wife and child, the
famous band leader Tommy Dorsey wrote Precious Lord". You have made an
eror that most all people make concerning this. Tommy Dorsey the band
leader DID NOT write the gospel song Precious Lord take my hand". The song
was actually written by Thomas A. Dorsey, who was the song leader of the
Pilgrim Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois.Who also by the way, wrote
"Peace in the Valley". These two songs are the most sung gospel songs of
all time.
Your site is very good, and i commend you for the diligent work you
have put into it. But this particular article is in error.

Comment: YOU GOOFED UP ON A NEW ARTICLE:

The article, "An August Event" is all messed up. You claim August 2010 had
5 Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. It did not. Look it up.

Furthermore the article states that any month with 31 days that starts on
a Monday will have the 5 weekends. Wrong. This July will have 5 of each
and it begins on a Friday.

oops!

Comment: I asked your site if President Obama was going to honor Jane
Fonda. Your site did not answer my question but did give a bunch of
history that I am aware of. Why couldn't your answer be direct....yes,
no, True or False?
& if you do have a direct one word answer please send it to me.

Well, I have a response, but it is two words, not one and the second word is "you".

Comment: Accorfing to what Lee Marvin said on the Jonny Carson show
(available on u tube) when he was wounded his friend Keeshan gave him a
smoke. He and Bob were friends before the war. They both were awarded
the Silver Star for their actions on Iowa.

How can you say the rumor is false that they both fought on Iowa Juma?

snopes, please update/correct your page to say that Lee Marvin and Bob Keeshan fought at
(on) Iowa Juma, not Iwo Jima.

I didn't know the Japanese had come as far inland on the American mainland as Iowa! I guess the U.S. government covered it up because they didn't want us to panic.

Comment: Article about the new U.S. dollar coin. Opening statement says
the new U.S. dollar was disigned with the motto "In God we trust" omitted.
Answer in artcle says "False". The answer should be "True". The artcle
goes on to say it was omitted. Is this a game or what? I like to read
truthful and legitimate websites. By putting that False in red @ the top,
you have misguided many people.

Comment: Re: http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/prayerday.asp

I have used your site to filter rumors and partial truths for some time.
Recently, I have observed an alarming trend - the people I have been
"correcting" have started correcting me because your declarations of True
or False have become blurry. They now seem laced with political
correctness. At best, they harbor word-play.

In this case - a two way mis/mal-intention: the intent of the (poorly
written) email was to suggest that Obama has chosen not to formally
(ceremonially) acknowledge the National Day of Prayer. Clearly it can't
be "canceled" as you point out. But it is very true in fact that he
didn't do what past presidents have with respect to deliberate ceremonial
acknowledgment.

The "Muslim Day of Prayer" picture finally disqualifies the message as
credible for the reason stated.

Your job isn't easy - but it is apparent that you have failed to provide
deeper analysis and ed/op around your proclamations. That will need to
change should you not want to lose credibility -- and eyeballs. without
exception, no legitimate US media channel will survive the onslaught of
citizens who are scrutinizing. Interestingly, the pendulum has swung
away from people who are seeking truth - but rather individuals seeking
spin and op/ed that support what they want to hear or believe.

If truth can no longer be discerned then it can't be objective - which
also means that we no longer have a moral standard, a civilized society,
or a free republic.

I am beyond scared. And I am most certainly praying.

Thanks for reading...

Comment: Re: 2011

The last part is incorrect. If you were born in 2003, and you add the age
you are going to be this year, you only get 11 and not 111.

In order for it to work, you have to be over the age of ... 11!

Wow, that's another two ones!
