Mouse Dehydrating rats

Comment: I work in a retail Lawn and Garden Center that carries and sells several
types of rat poisons and other rodenticides. We are CONSTANTLY being asked
by customers for the products that "make the rats dehydrate and not stink
while they're dying", or ones that "cause the rat to leave your home in
search of water", or the stuff that "mummifies rats" again, reducing or
eliminating any odor.
This rumor just keeps going on and on and I'd love to have some real proof
from that I can share with my customers.
Have you ever heard of this?

ETA: By the way, snopes, I really like the new "Bonsai Cat" icon.

A poison here claims to kill by dehydration and 'avoids the smell from decomposition that is often associated with conventional rodenticides'.

When I saw the title, I thought sure someone wanted to make rat jerky.

Mmm, full of rodenty goodness, with lots of crunchy nutritious bones.

I don't know if it is true or not, but I have heard that rats can go longer without water than a camel can.

Just put them in a bucket of lyme.

It worked for all those dead bodies I had to hide.

D-Con's mouse poison reportedly does the trick. Its active ingredient is brodifacoum, a really, really powerful anticoagulant.
