Comment: Years ago I heard about an accident that happened in the Chicago
area. It was told as if it happened recently, which would have been the early 90s. According to the story, the stretch limo carrying the bride and groom hit a bump or pothole on the way between the wedding and the reception. The limo broke on a seam when it hit the bump, and the bride fell partially through the hole, cutting off both her legs in the process. Now, this reeks of an urban legend to me, but my husband insists that it actually happened. I don't have the resources, so can you shed some light on the incident? |

True, but it was a sports car (probably one of these) and the autopsy stated strangulation as cause of death |

Hobbit GetRichQuick scheme #2973
Build speedbumps near churches, harvest garters, and may no man suffer the ignimony of having a taller bride ever again. Anyway, I always thought it was the duty of the best man to turn up legless to the reception,

I was born and raised in the Chicago land area, and I've never heard anything about this.
