Me, either. It's standard management talk. When Rumsfeld said it, he sounded just like a CEO, which is what he was before he became Defense Secretary.

In fairness, I think a lot of CEO-speak makes the speaker look like a jackass, so that's probably why I find the quote so amusing.

Yes, I know. I was interpreting Canuckistan's post as implying that Gore's claiming initiative for the creation of the Internet was a canard. In fact, it's clear he said it. The usual [wrong] understanding of Gore's association with the Internet is that he said he invented it, which is essentially the "canard" that snopes's page addresses.

I took it more as pointing out that including the Gore quote in question on a list such as the OP amounts to encouraging the mistaken interpretation you mention.
