Icon81 Death by fountain

Comment: Did a man die in the Lake/fountain at the Belagio Hotel in Las
Vegas? Rumour has it it a man jumped into the Lake drunk and when the
light show started he was killed.

Well absent of any real details of when it happened, I am voting doubtful. The fountain to my recollection isnt that deep and there are rails that most drunks would have a hard time scalling. Add all the people who watch the show and the fact that the show is mostly high pressure nozzles, I would doubt he drowned.

That being said, if you really wanted to swim at that fountain, and were determined enough to, you could try, but im guessing that you wouldnt get too far.

Well I'd say you could easily drown in it, it didn't look overly deep at least on the sides but its hard to tell sometimes and I dont know if it gets any deeper in the middle.. In addition I'd imagine that getting hit full on by one of those pressure nozzels could daze or even render you unconcious (particularly if you'd been drinking) where then you could easily drown in only a little water.

That said I think within minutes at best of you climbing the fence security would be all over you, and not very happy to see you (with the possible exception of you being a very attractive 25 year old supermodel with a white t-shirt and no bra, then they would be there in far less then a minute and be far happier to see you but still drag your ass outta there).

I was expecting a different kind of fountain here...

I love that game! I'm no good at it of course, but it's fun to lose in entertaining ways.

Hmm, I don't know that one. I should have known it wasn't Zork, though - it didn't involve being eaten by a grue.

I'm surprised no one thought to mention the Simpsons episode where the mayor says something like:

"We needed the money to de-python the fountain!"

And then they show a fountain in the park or something and all these snakes fly out of it.....LOL I'm a loser.
