Comment: I just sat through a presentation by a school resource officer on
gangs. He showed the "Got Milk" ad with Venus and Serena Williams in
which one of Venus' hands was formed into a "C". He said that she was
showing appreciation to the Crips of Compton because when she and Serena
would practice on the public courts, the Crips would stand guard because
their dad was a former Crip. I found an article at streetgangs.com that
said the "C" she displayed was to represent Compton, not the Crips and
another website said it was the Bloods who protected them when they
played. What is true because I'd hate for this guy and others to
perpetuate this falsehood if indeed it is one.
