Superstition and folklore have helped connect certain animals with Halloween. Some of these superstitions are centuries old. Most are myths that make the animals sound spooky and evil. In real life, the animals of Halloween are just normal creatures with a bad rep.

Well, it's a good thing I'm a fast reader, but that article was still a waste of time. It didn't bring anything new to what I already knew and, with all due respect, some bats most certainly will drink human blood if it's the only thing around; there is something about human blood that doesn't appeal to a hemophagic bat species but they aren't so picky that they'd starve before drinking the human stuff.
