comparison between Chavez and President Bush. If Chavez is going to take the monies his subsidiaries in the US and give the monies to the poor in Valenzuela, I expect you to document with fact,not surmise about what he says he will do. As for your dissing President Bush, oil companies were around a long time prior to Bush. As for "favoring" the rich and oil companies, need I remind you that state and federal taxes take up a large chunk of the cost of a gallon of gasoline, and that the oil companies make a profit of about 9 cents per gallon. They're rich because they sell alot of gasoline, both here and abroad. As for the oil companies getting favorite treatment, as your article implies, well, they're no different than the thousands of other businesses and others who have an ax to grind and money to pay lobbiests. Not saying it's right, but oil companies anr no better or worse than any body else who lobbies with their self interest in mind. One final thought.There are alot of jobs that the oil companies hire for in all aspects of their business. They pay workers who in turn buy goods and services who in turn cause a demand for goods and services and in turn create jobs. -------------------- Comment: Thank you so much for the great informative article on Citgo. I must admit I didn't read every word but I was bowled over by the totally spinless content. It was absolutely fair and balanced and all about the facts. I just read your FAQ's and was even impressed with the clarity and understandability of your answers to questions about the operation of your site. I was shocked that someone wanted you to change the colors of your "traffic light" veracity findings because of their color blindness! Surely it was a joke! I'm 60 yrs old, so you would think I couldn't still be surprised at how totally dumb and self-centered some people can be! In fact I would have been tempted to tell that person to buy tinted contacts to correct the problem. If their request was sincere, their vision is in a tunnel anyway, and they would probably believe you. If their suggestion was bogus, they'd appreciate your sense of humor. Either way, you'd be better off if they never visit your website!

Comment: I have received several emails in the past couple of months that
gas will be $1 a gallon by March '09. i have also seen it posted in several news groups I participate in. ------------------------------------------------------- Comment: I just received an email that Mansfield oil has announced there will be a $1.60 increase in gas prices on Friday 09/12/08. I have received this email from several people and the increase varies anywhere from .50 cents to $1.60. Have you heard anything about this?

I think you do a great service by researching the truth (or more often non-truth) of so many lies. I think you do a great disservice by glorifying warriors who, after all, are TRAINED KILLERS. We might occasionally need them, although for the life of me, I can't remember the last time, but we should not GLORIFY killing and destruction. ------------------------------------ Comment: Regarding the e-mail about Paul Mallory and the dog, Reggie: I just feel the need to commend you for being so respectful of the theme of this e-mail while discrediting the truthfulness of it. Very classy. Your work is awesome and appreciated.
