Uh, I'm sure they might have a case with the whole suing thing (if that's the case), but this makes no sense:

Did the Disney studio steal Kimba The White Lion and rework it as their "original story", The Lion King? They certainly give that impression with their corporate stance ("we never heard of Tezuka nor Kimba until after The Lion King was released").
The fact that they never heard of an obscure movie incriminates them...how?

I'm dubious.

the only things that they give that are verifiable are a few scenes that look similar, an originally white lion, and a name one letter apart. all of which require us to believe everything on the site is presented at face value.

that being said, it wouldn't really surprise me.

Personally, I am not sure that it was on purpose. But the people who worked on the Lion King were mostly of an age where they probably saw Kimba at one point, and it affected them subconsciously. Therefore I think it's impossible for anyone to say that there was no possible way it had any influence on them. And bear in mind animation is a medium where archetypes/stereotypes are used effectively throughout.

Nonetheless I think in this case the similarities are so striking one does wonder. And I'm still ticked at Disney for mangling the Jungle Book and the Fox and the Hound.

If you read the linked article, you see references to Disney personnel making explicit references to Kimba during planning, production and other pre-release periods. The claims of never having heard of it ring hollow, IF those claims in the article can be substantiated.

Okay...

I contend that Kimba is not a white lion at all. He is in fact a white mouse, and was switched at birth. That point alone makes all other points and similarities invalid.
