Default Ghost Car

Well, don't know what to think of this. Anybody know anything about it?

(On a sidenote, I love Spook Central. Get some more wacky postings in here people! I want bigfeet, and ghosteses, and clouds that look like flying saucers! Hell, I'll even do dustmotes that look like orbs! I don't care! I just want more Spooks!)

If it is the video that I think it is... there was a discussion on the old board in Spook Central. (I can't search for it right now.)

Hard to tell for sure from the grainy video, but it looks as if the fence is open to the extreme left. The car may have gotten through there. The police car didn't turn off at the same point, and so missed the opening in the dark.

I love the commentary - he's "driving... like a man possessed" and exhibits a burst "of seemingly supernatural speed". No, you speeded the tape up for that part, I could tell!

It does look as though there might be a gap in the fence to the left, doesn't it? There must be, really. It's quite a good trick, though...

He could also pop UNDER the fence. If the bottom of the fence material is not attached to the pole, you can drive right "under" it. Also, vanishing has a lot to do with turning off your lights and running blind (I've done that).

I think you're right, Doug. After I posted I recalled watching a man at a campground unhook his car from the back of a motorhome. Turns out he'd left the emergency brake on and burnt out the brakes while towing. The car rolled, unmanned, across the road and right under a chainlink fence and into the ditch beyond. There was minimal damage to the fence for the campground staff to fix, which popped back up just as it always had been.

The narrator seems to unnecessarily *hype* up the chase as it goes on, "Driving at Supernatural speeds" (he wasn't driving at supernatural speeds).

But to me it looked like the section of fence to the right of the cruiser was open. Could be wrong, it was grainy.

I thought I saw this discussed here before. I don't remember what the concensus was.

Aw, they're just playing up the ghost car angle by saying supernatural speed. Like "driving like a man possessed".

It does look like the fence to the right of the pole in front of the cruiser isn't there. I can very clearly see the chainlink on the left, but not at all on the right. Even grainy, I'd have expected the odd glimpse of it, but nothing.

But then again, if it were that simple, the cop on the night probably would've just gone through there.

Yeah, we've had it here and here

I think the consensus was that the car went under the chainlink fence.
