Icon05 Cockroaches and Crabs

Okay these are two different UL's (Supposed UL's) that I'm asking about cause I have a friend who doesn't believe either of them.

1. Is it true that cockroaches can live for two weeks without their heads and will only die of starvation?

2. Is the inside of a crab mostly liquid until you cook it? My sister says (and so do a few other people that I know) that if you catch a crab on a beach and pull it apart without cooking it, looking for meat, you are basically going to find liquid and not much to eat. I believe this is true, but I can't find anything to back it up and 50 bucks it riding on me being right, so can anyone help out?

As far as number 2 is concerned, then probably no. Crab meat, like all meat (except some kinds of offal) is muscle. Crabs need muscles to move around and do whatever else it is crabs do when they are alive and well.

I suppose in a milion years we could see the evolution of a hydraulic super crab - or maybe not.

I have cut open many, many live blue crabs and can tell you that while the meat is uber delicate, it is not water. If it was, then when they molt wouldnt all their innards leak away?
