David Irving: "Austria is a pisspot country"

Holocaust denier David Irving is supposed to have said on his release from an Austrian prison, that "Austria is a pisspot country".
I could not find any details of this online, so is there any evidence that he said it.

When comparing statements denying the holocaust tend to overshadow a throw away statement said about a country that incarcerated him. I'm sure quite a few inmates of various countries have made derogatory comments about those countries before now.

I wouldn't surprise me if he did say something of the sort, however a quick search doesn't bring that quote up.

At first glance I thought it was "Australia is a pisspot country" and i thought "Well yeah, so...?".

Beat me to it Dropbear. He probably did mean Australia, most people do when they write Austria.

Er, no. I did mean Austria, not Australia. (Think cold wet mountains, not bright sunny beaches). Now it's not so hard to tell the difference.
